- Arrive ten to twenty minutes before any appointment, audition, class or rehearsal.
- When interviewing or auditioning, bring a picture with the resume already attached. In fact, bring two.
- When dressing for interviews and auditions, remember to ‘look good, it's television,' in other words, dress appropriately for your age range, type and the role for which you are auditioning. Putting thought into your presentation can make a big impression.
- Always arrive prepared, informed or rehearsed, depending on the needs of the scheduled event or class.
- Remember that the business is a block and a half wide and two blocks long, speak kindly of other actors, directors, casting directors, agents and teachers. What you say about others, reflects back on you.
- Put your heart into all you do. In your training, your preparation for auditions, your rehearsals for roles or classes, strive for excellence.
- Leave your baggage about the industry or the audition process or the lack of auditions in the lobby. It will be there when you leave if you want to retrieve it.
Think positively, but walk in prepared.
